Home Project News February 3, 2021 Project Log FAQ Project Notes Project Summary Guestbook Other Stuff | On the Horizontal Stabilizer I dimpled all the skins with the vinyl on. This worked okay but the rivets did not seem to seat perfectly in the dimples. On the vertical stabilizer I cut the vinyl with the old soldering iron trick and dimpled. This made the rivets seat better but it is very difficult to keep from scratching the alclad with the dimple dies. Now I'll try to decide which is worse. Addendum: I have decided that it doesn't matter. I must have just not been very good at riveting at the time. I dimpled the elevator with the vinyl on and it turned out fine. I will continue to dimple with the vinyl on. This web site and the infomation contained within it are for entertainment purposes only.
