Home Project News February 3, 2021 Project Log FAQ Project Notes Project Summary Guestbook Other Stuff | I have read a few places where people were having trouble getting the bend right on the HS forward spar, so I wanted to describe what I did that seemed to work well. Use distances instead of angles. You'll never be able to hit that angle perfectly. I set my jig up with some clamps that would hold the spar channels at the correct angle using either the dimensions in the plans or I just pulled out the old trig book and did the math I can't remember. Then I just bent the splice angles until they fit the jiged-up spars. Hows that for clear as mud. I'll try to get more detail on this later, when I have a bit more time.
